🎉 Welcome to Hungry Tailz Rescue, Alice! 🐾❤️
Today we picked up Alice from the shelter, where she was unfortunately placed on the euthanasia list. Because a foster stepped up and opened their home, Alice was given the second chance she deserves.
This is exactly why fostering is so important.
As a foster-based rescue, we cannot save animals unless we have foster homes available. Every time someone says "yes" to fostering, it creates space to save another life. Dogs like Alice are counting on people willing to give them a safe place to land while they wait for their forever family.
We truly cannot thank our fosters enough. Time and time again, they come through for animals in need and make stories like Alice's possible. ❤️
Have you ever considered fostering? We provide support, supplies, and veterinary care, you provide the love and temporary home. If you're interested in becoming a foster, send us a message and we'll help get you started with our process.

Thank you for helping us continue to save lives, one animal at a time. Welcome to safety, Alice. Your new journey starts today. 🐶
These newborn kittens were found abandoned in a box under a tree in Stockton. They were cold and alone. Sadly, one of the kittens passed away shortly after being found. They were severely chilled, and sometimes when newborns get too cold, their tiny bodies simply can’t recover despite our best efforts.
The four remaining babies are now safe, warm, and being bottle fed around the clock. Caring for newborn kittens means feeding every few hours, day and night, helping them go potty, monitoring their weight, and sacrificing a lot of sleep. It’s exhausting, but these innocent little lives are worth every sleepless night.
One of the surviving kittens is also dealing with an umbilical hernia, likely caused by trauma to the umbilical cord area when the placenta was pulled. Thankfully, she is bright, eating well, and being closely monitored as she grows.
This is the heartbreaking reality of animal overpopulation and abandonment. Newborn kittens cannot survive on their own. They depend entirely on their mother for warmth, nutrition, and protection. When they’re left behind, even a few hours can become a matter of life or death.
For now, these four little fighters are hanging on, and we’re doing everything we can to give them a chance at life.
If you’d like to help, we are in need of supplies for their care. Items from our Amazon Wishlist help us provide formula, bottles, heating supplies, blankets, and other essentials these babies need to survive.

Welcome to Hungry Tailz, little ones. We’re rooting for you. 🐾❤️
7 new puppies joined Hungry Tailz Rescue today…
The 8th puppy was hit by a car before help could get to her. Her little body was taken to the vet to be cremated. She deserved better than dying alone in the streets.
This is the reality for so many animals in Stockton, California. Unfixed dogs continue having litter after litter, puppies get dumped, and the streets become overcrowded with animals trying to survive. Some get hit by cars. Some die from sickness. Some disappear and are never found.
Every year, millions of dogs and cats enter shelters and rescues across the United States, and many communities struggle with severe pet overpopulation. When pets are not spayed or neutered, even one unplanned litter can quickly turn into dozens of animals over just a few years. Many families are unable to care for unexpected puppies, which often leads to abandonment, neglect, or overcrowded shelters.
These babies appear to be Rottweiler mixes….4 boys and 3 girls. They are now safe with us, quarantining for the next 2 weeks while we monitor them closely and pray they stay healthy. Anyone involved in rescue knows how scary the waiting period is with abandoned puppies and parvo risk.
They will all be fully vetted and cared for, but cases like this are emotionally and financially exhausting. Still, we’ll keep showing up for them because they didn’t ask to be born into this situation.
Rescue work is not just about saving animals in emergencies, it’s also about educating communities, encouraging responsible pet ownership, and preventing future suffering before it starts. Every donation, share, foster home, and adoption truly makes a difference.

These girls deserve more than growing old in foster care. 🤍
Ariel and Wifey are still waiting for families to give them the comfort, love, and soft place to land they deserve for their golden years. Senior dogs have so much love to give, they just need someone willing to give them a chance.
Please share their faces. 🐾
