A String Quartet

We loved playing in a masterclass today for the Marian Anderson String Quartet ( )! We played movements 1,2, and 4 of Schulhoff’s Five Pieces for String Quartet and received lots of valuable and insightful feedback.
Earlier, we attended the Marian Anderson Quartet’s concert presented by the Friends of Chamber Music and . The quartet’s program, performance, and Q&A session were extremely inspiring to us. We are so fortunate to have had the opportunity to learn from these esteemed musicians!

After a semester of hard work, we performed Schulhoff’s 5 Pieces for String Quartet and one movement of Mendelssohn’s String Quartet No. 2. Thank you to all who came to support the chamber class musicians, and great job to our colleagues who performed!

We will be playing the Mendelssohn (first and second movement) one more time at ’s recital this Sunday at noon! We hope to see you there!

We were invited to play at the Los Altos United Methodist Church this morning and accompanied the choir and church members in hymns and songs!

First orchestra concert of the spring semester ✅
Last week, we had a great time working with our guest conductor-in-residence, Laura Jackson. Putting together the program in one week was not easy, but it was done, and done well! Great job everyone 🎶

We had a great time playing in a masterclass for Trio Zimbalist tonight! Can’t wait to continue workshopping Shostakovich Quartet No. 7 with their input in mind!

Smiling for String Day at Pacific! We can’t wait to perform Shostakovich’s 7th String Quartet in the Recital Hall at 1:30pm tomorrow, along with watching amazing faculty performances, including Trio 180! Our very own cellist will also be performing a solo work that you cannot miss! We hope to see you there!
