Thank you to for showing up early and getting right to work clearing invasive species at the Louis Park boat ramp during Tree Stockton’s Show Up for Louis Park event. What was once overgrown is now more open and welcoming for boaters and families who use this space. It takes steady hands and real community effort to restore areas like this and we are grateful for every volunteer who made it happen on Saturday May 16th!!

Tree Stockton is proud to be working alongside incredible partners to bring this new community event to life on Saturday, May 16 from 9am to 1pm at Louis Park. We’ll meet at the west end of the Louis Park parking lot and we will be easy to spot. This is more than a clean up. It is a hands on day of tree planting, restoring, learning, and building pride in one of our oldest parks.
Volunteers will help plant and stake trees in pre dug holes, cut back invasive species, plant a native garden, paint concrete barriers, participate in community art, and help refresh the space together. It is about three hours of light work with plenty of guidance along the way. You will also have the chance to learn more about proper tree planting, native plants, and why removing invasive species matters.
We will be giving away trees, so this is your opportunity to win one for your home, along with other goodies from local Stockton businesses. There will be plenty of food for breakfast and lunch to keep everyone fueled and connected.
We need all hands on deck. Register at TreeStockton.org and be part of the event.
