May is National Water Safety Month!
Day #6 of LSS sharing highlights of SWIM1922 and information on the importance of learning to swim and water safety.
Let's normalize swim lessons just like we do reading and math. Safety is education too! 🌊
Did you know, according to the CDC?...
- 10 people drown each day
- 70% of African American children do not know how to swim
- 60% of Hispanic children do not khow to swim
Through a partnership with USA Swimming Foundation, Sigma Gamma Rho's Swim 1922 Campaign aims to address these issues.
