Ace is a black AHCA-registered Highland bull (Reg. #62,465) whose offspring consistently demonstrate moderate size, functional build, and excellent temperament.
His calves have shown:
• 100% low birth weights (~30 lbs)
• All current offspring measuring 41” or less at the hip
• Moderate frames well suited for easy-calving, functional Highland programs
• Calm, manageable dispositions and good structure
Ace has been a reliable sire for producers prioritizing predictability, moderate size, and ease of management over extremes.

How to raise cowboys that don’t grow up to be babies...
1. Give them responsibility
And hold them accountable. Kids need chores that they don’t want to do. When they grow up, this is called work.
2. They need to know how to take a butt chewing
Yes, sometimes words hurt. But you know what hurts worse? Entitled sissies that cry at the drop of a hat and get offended.
3. They need to know how to get back on
Quit protecting kids like they are breakable. If you do this, they become breakable adults. If you want resilient adults, let kids be kids.
4. Teach them manners
There’s still a such thing as respect...teach it or learn why you should have the hard way.
5. Make them keep their word
I really don’t think this needs explaining.
6. Let them get dirty
Let them lick the salt block, eat the dog food, try the cow cake, and throw horse crap at each other. It builds their immune system.
7. Let them work with you
It doesn’t matter if it’s cleaning pens, feeding hay, driving the tractor, fixing supper, or darning socks. Kids need to know what you know and it’s your job to raise them. If you don’t, someone else will...and you don’t want that.
8. Let them fight
Don’t come to the rescue every time something negative happens. Teach them how to deal with disagreements, arguments, and bullies.
9. Be the person you needed when you were a child
Practice what you preach. Better yet, preach by your actions, not your words.
10. Don’t explain everything
Don’t give them the answer, do things that lead them to the answer. You’re a parent, not google.

Train up a child in the way they should go and when they are old they will not depart from it.

Ace is throwing some spectacular calves; Todd is a great example of confirmation, temperament, and smaller size for easier calving. We do have straws from Ace available!
