The Stevens Point Chapter celebrated the 201st birthday of our Real Daughter, Elizabeth Louetsie Omans Stewart Seaward, with a memorial service and birthday cake. Mrs. Seaward joined the chapter in 1902. Her father, Patriot Thomas Omans, served as a private and as a sergeant in General Sullivan’s Massachusetts Regiment in the Continental Line.

The Stevens Point Chapter has a New Chapter Patriot. Jacob Bell (1747-1838) served as a Private in the Tryon County (NY) Militia.

The Stevens Point Chapter distributed almost 2,400 flags to Stevens Point Fourth of July Parade spectators. We played America 250! trivia and at noon we rang bells to celebrate our independence.

250 Years Ago -- On June 28, 1776, the Committee of Five (Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Roger Sherman, and Robert R. Livingston) submitted the final draft of the Declaration of Independence to the Continental Congress.
