Pantone has unveiled the 2022 Color of the Year
Very Peri, a periwinkle hue that Pantone says combines the tranquility of blue with an energetic infusion of red. This marks the first time the company has manufactured a color rather than delving into their pre-existing archive.
"It was really important for us to come up with a new color, because we have a very new vision of the world now," said Pantone Color Institute's Executive Director Leatrice Eiseman, describing the shade during the announcement. Leatrice added "It is literally the happiest and the warmest of all the blue hues, because of that red undertone, it introduces an empowering feeling of newness, and newness is what we're looking for."
Who is going to be the first to send us a beautifully designed piece utilizing Very Peri?
Looking forward to printing the new color!

Copy General is celebrating International Print Day!
Got Print?

At last week’s thINK Ahead ’21 conference, there was a wall at the Customer Innovation Center featuring samples chosen to exemplify what the latest and best inkjet technology can produce. Copy General President, Ken Chaletzky, is shown standing next to an entire shelf of pieces printed by our company.
Go Team Copy General!

Last Friday our VP Laura d'All was honored to emcee the inaugural Women’s CEO Summit. Congratulations to visionary CEO Tina R. Johnson who created and developed the summit. Tina has a passion for nurturing and coaching businesswomen to reach their highest potential.
The day was punctuated by roundtable discussions and workshops, and filled with terrific speakers Star Bobatoon, Esq., Corliss Jackson and Barbara Kinosky to name a few. The keynote CEO Panel – Lessons Learned – moderated by ✔ Threase A. Baker with panelists Carol Barbe, Alice P Frazier, Nikki Le and Carolyn Thurston, was the highlight of the day.
Cathy Hoag and the entire CEO Consulting crew did a magnificent job of staging the summit - well done and thank you!
Copy General was one of the many summit sponsors, and Laura had the pleasure of serving on the advisory committee with a group of incredible, successful and talented ladies.
Looking forward to next year’s summit!!

Our friends Ulrike and Pancho from The Canines-N-Kids Foundation visited today. Rosario, Lourdes (Ulrike) & Tammy love to see Pancho, he's such a sweet pup!

I began my career at Copy General Corp. 30 years ago this month. I was a print novice, and vividly remember my fist day as a store manager in Washington, DC. The print industry constantly evolves and we with it, thanks to the vision of our CEO and mentor Ken Chaletzky.
My appreciation for past and present colleagues is immense. I am particularly proud of how our team has weathered the past 15 months as we navigate our way through the pandemic.
Each day presents itself with challenges, yet it is always fun and rewarding, one may say never a dull moment!
Thank you to our clients, and heartfelt gratitude to my colleagues for making this journey enjoyable and fulfilling.
Here’s to the next decade!

Our very own Ken Chaletzky was the guest presenter for both General Commercial Press sessions at this year's Inkjet Summit in Austin, TX. The summit gathers print thought leaders who want to understand how current and future production inkjet printing technology, software and solutions will impact their business and investment decisions.
Ken appears to be deep in thought with Tonya Scarbrough Powers!

The Loudoun Chamber of Commerce honored brave first responders and citizens today at the 36th Annual Valor Awards. Emcee Michelle Marsh, 7News on Your Side Anchor, kept the ceremony flowing as the awards were presented to men and women in Fire & EMS, Law Enforcement and citizens who met a need in the community.
Thank you and congratulations to all 2021 Valor Award Recipients.

An exciting day for women of all ages.
Barrier-breaking female aviator Wally Funk has become the oldest-ever person to fly in space today on Blue Origin's New Shepard. She trained to be an astronaut in the 1960s, but was overlooked for a space flight because she was a woman.
"I've been waiting a long time to finally get it up there, and I've done a lot of astronaut training through the world — Russia, America — and I could always beat the guys on what they were doing because I was always stronger and I've always done everything on my own," Wally said prior to the spaceflight. Wally's excitement was contagious after the flight - "I want to go again, fast," she said, "I loved every minute of it. I just wish it had been longer".
Congratulations Wally!!
Reach for the stars!!

So excited for our friend and client Michelle Lucas!!
Congratulations!
Today, Higher Orbits commits to building the science-focused generation our world needs.

Copy General folks had a great time at "Loudoun on Tap" with other Loudoun Chamber of Commerce members. Ken Chaletzky and his son Dave enjoyed their first match together this season. Before the match could start, threatening dark clouds appeared followed by thunder, lightning and heavy rain. After a 90+ minute delay, Loudoun United went on to beat the Pittsburgh Riverhounds 2-1!

Congratulations to our dear friend Pat Depew Wirth. You have worked tirelessly, and your dedication has come to fruition with the Turning Point Suffragist Memorial Dedication on May 16, 2021, honoring the millions of women who fought valiantly for more than seven decades to win the right to vote. We are so honored to have been a minuscule part of the process and look forward to visiting the memorial.

Celebrate National Pet Day!
We are excited to celebrate National Pet Day with our colleagues, and clients who have visited Copy General with their pets over the years. Pets bring fun, unconditional love and companionship into our lives. Research has shown that pets not only steal your heart, but they also contribute to overall cardiovascular health by lowering cortisol, cholesterol, and blood pressure levels. Some people have one, others have a farm full of pets! Shout out to Ulrike and Pancho, our friends at Canines-N-Kids, committed to finding a cure to the devastating cancers that canines and children both develop.
What is your fondest pet story?
Hug your pet!

Do you realize that every ear of corn you eat will no longer be around for other people? It will cease to exist. That ear of corn, slathered in butter and sprinkled with salt, surely tasted good, but now, no one else can enjoy it. Don’t you feel guilty at having been involved in the cutting down of that stalk of corn just to serve your own personal needs?
Do you think what I’m saying is silly? Who cares about an ear of corn? There are millions, if not billions, of them and every season a new crop replaces the previous one. In fact, our government stores millions of bushels of corn that we can’t sell. So, why worry about an ear of corn.
Surprisingly, much the same can be said about a tree. In a responsibly managed forest, trees are simply another crop. Trees that are cut down for construction, pharmaceuticals, and yes, paper manufacture are replaced with seedlings that in ten or twenty years will be ready for harvesting. So, while tree harvest times are measured in decades rather than seasons, the concept is the same. Harvest the “ripe” trees and plant new ones.
