Once a Plainsman, Always a Plainsman

Cash Allen Rinker, 20, of Eaton, CO, passed away Sat., July 25, 2026.
He was born June 3, 2006, in Greeley, CO, to Corey and Casandra “Cassie” (Isbell) Rinker. He grew up in Eaton alongside his sister, Carlie, and attended Eaton schools. Cash was a dedicated student, athlete, and friend. He embraced life wholeheartedly and cherished his family and friends above all else. Throughout the years, he participated in many sports, including baseball, football, and wrestling.
Baseball was Cash’s greatest passion. He played youth baseball for the Reds for ten years before moving on to Eaton High School, where he was a three-year varsity letterman. He earned Honorable Mention All-Conference honors in 2024 and was named All-Conference and All-State in 2025. His team won three consecutive state championships during his high school career. He also played for the Greeley Grays for six years, making him the longest-tenured player for them. After graduating, Cash attended ASU Mid-South in Arkansas on a partial academic and athletic scholarship. This summer, he played for the Fort Collins Foxes and was looking forward to attending Northeastern Junior College this fall to continue both his education and his baseball career. More than the awards and championships, Cash treasured the friendships, camaraderie, and memories he made alongside his teammates.
Cash also loved wrestling. He participated in the Eaton Wrestling Club for nine years before wrestling for Eaton Middle School for three years, where his team captured the NPCLA Championship. He continued wrestling in high school, earning two varsity letters, and his team also won a state championship during his time there.
Football was another sport Cash thoroughly enjoyed. He began playing youth flag football for three years before moving on to youth tackle football for another four years. He played for Eaton Middle School for two years, where his team also won the NPCLA Championship. During his high school football career, his team captured the 2021 State Championship.
Cash was never one to sit still. When he wasn’t competing in sports, he could be found golfing, fishing, or hunting. He loved spending time with his friends, especially at the lake, where they enjoyed paddleboarding and cliff jumping. He also loved attending concerts and grabbing his favorite lunch at Cheba Hut. Cash genuinely loved staying active, whether he was working out at Powell’s Gym or playing just about any sport he could—as long as it wasn’t soccer or basketball.
He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Claude Rinker; his papa, Bill Isbell; and his uncles, Cory Isbell and Kevin Dutton.
Cash is survived by his loving parents, Corey and Cassie Rinker; his sister, Carlie Rinker; and countless extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Cash was full of life, energy, and love. Everything he did, he did with purpose, dedication, and unwavering spirit. His family and friends will forever remember the light, laughter, and love he brought wherever he went. Though his time here was far too short, the impact he made on those around him will never be forgotten. He will be deeply loved, forever remembered, and profoundly missed.
A Celebration of Cash’s Life will be held Wed., Aug. 5 at the Eaton High School football field.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Cash’s memory may be made to the Cash Rinker Memorial Account set up at Bank of Colorado.
