It was such a treat to attend the LCDC Volunteer Appreciation Party. It was fun to share some holiday spirit together after the election season and to recognize our wonderful and dedicated volunteers.

Yesterday, I was delighted to speak to the incoming cohort at Demand a Seat Bootcamp, Everytown for Gun Safety's campaign management training program. The program included Moms Demand Action volunteers and survivors who are running, or seriously considering a run, from 18 states across the country. It was amazing to reflect on how my volunteer work with Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America prepared me to run for office, how Demand a Seat explicitly gave me the tools to succeed, and the experience of winning a second term. I am so glad Kerry, my trusted friend and the lead for our Loudoun Moms Demand Action chapter, was able to join me. But, more than anything, I am excited to see what comes next for these courageous candidates and volunteers.
