Thank you so much to all our amazing social work students and SSWA members who participated last Thursday, March 26th 2026, at the Service Learning Day event! 💜💜 This year, we chose to volunteer with Broadway Cityview, near the Fort Worth campus. As student social workers, we highly value giving back to our community across all populations and ages. We chose to bridge the gap between generations and engage with the residents at this retirement community, which was such a learning experience. Volunteering here truly allowed us front-row seats to the amazing life stories of the wisest people on earth. Not only did we have many fruitful and meaningful conversations with the residents, but also shared laughter, smiles, and compassion.
