It’s an exciting time for Hive Studio—we’ve officially moved to our new space! 🎉

We’re now located at 122 Agape Way in Stephens City, just about 8 minutes from our former Main Street location. While it’s bittersweet to leave the space where Hive Studio first began, I’m so excited for what this next chapter makes possible.

☀️ Summer Camps are right around the corner, and there are still a few spots available. These week-long camps are one of my favorite parts of the year. If you’ve been thinking about joining us, now is the time to sign up: hivestudio.art/classes

Looking ahead, we’ll also be announcing our fall class lineup soon. The new studio space allows for expanded programming, including larger class sizes and plans for adult classes in the near future.

One of my favorite parts of running Hive Studio is watching our community rally around local artists.

Last week, that support helped Alisa Ann Ogden sell more than half of the artwork in her solo exhibition! Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate Alisa's hard work. Watching Alisa share her artwork with the community and connect with visitors was a reminder of why opportunities like this matter. Congratulations, Alisa, on a successful show!

Hive Studio is pleased to introduce Alisa Ann Ogden, the artist behind our current exhibition, Through Alisa’s Eyes: A Celebration of Color and Courage.

As an artist with Down syndrome, Alisa creates colorful work inspired by nature and the idea that things don’t have to be perfect to have value. Her work celebrates individuality, joy, and faith. In addition to being an artist, Alisa is also a Special Olympics athlete and entrepreneur whose creativity shines through in everything she does.

We’re excited to share Alisa’s debut solo exhibition with the community.

Join us for Art Camp at Hive Studio this summer! We’re offering two 5-day sessions designed for kids ages 6–11.

Campers love the hands-on projects, the chance to try new materials, and the opportunity to dive into creative ideas you just don’t have time for in a typical art class. It’s a full week of making, experimenting, and building confidence—while having a lot of fun!

🎨✨ Think paint-covered hands, big ideas, and kids who can’t wait to come back the next day.

Campers spend the week exploring, experimenting, and creating with a wide range of materials—painting, drawing, sculpture, and more! They’ll learn about incredible artists, try new techniquese, and build real skills—all in a way that feels fun and approachable.

Been here before? This year’s projects are all new—so returning campers will have plenty to explore.
