There's a certain kind of satisfaction that comes with watching calves out on summer pasture for the first time. 🐄☀️
All the early mornings, the calving checks, the weaning stress, the feed adjustments... it all leads to this. Animals that are healthy, curious, and thriving.
June has a way of paying you back for everything you put in during the harder months. 🙌

🌼 Meet Meadow 🌼
Meadow is a beautiful 2–3 year old girl looking for a fresh start and a family of her own.
When meeting dogs, Meadow was very stiff, unsure, and clearly stressed, so she is looking for a home without canine companions. However, she did great with cats during her evaluation! We always recommend slow introductions, but we are confident she will do well in a home with feline friends.
The shelter environment has been a little overwhelming for Meadow, and she’s still learning that the world can be a safe place. With patience, understanding, and plenty of love, we believe this sweet girl will blossom into an amazing companion.
If you’re looking for a cat-friendly best friend who just needs someone to believe in her, Meadow may be the perfect match. ❤️
She will come up to date on her vaccinations spayed and microchipped! Her heartworm test is pending.
Available through County Line Pet Hospital for adoption or licensed rescue pull.

💜 Meet Lola 💜
Lola is looking for a second chance at the forever home she deserves.
This sweet girl was sadly abandoned by her owner and eventually found her way to us. Despite everything she’s been through, Lola hasn’t let it dim her spirit. At around 7–8 years old, she still has plenty of life left to live and even surprises us with bursts of puppy-like energy!
Lola has done well with dogs but would do best in a home without cats. She’s looking for a family that will love her through her golden years and never leave her wondering where she belongs again.
She may be a little older, but her heart is as young as ever. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who still enjoys having fun and making memories, Lola could be your perfect match.
🏡 Let’s find Lola the forever home she’s been waiting for.
Lola will come up to date on her vaccinations, spayed, microchipped and her heartworm test is pending
She is available through County Line Pet Hospital for adoption or licensed rescue pull.

Meet Levi! ❤️
Levi is an 8–9-year-old gentleman who is looking for a soft place to land and spend his golden years. A few years ago, Levi was adopted from us and thought he had found his forever home. Sadly, through no fault of his own, he was abandoned and eventually found his way back into our care.
Despite everything he’s been through, Levi still has so much love to give. He enjoys the simple things in life—comfortable naps, kind people, and a peaceful environment. Levi would do best in a home without cats. He can be a little unsure around other dogs at first and will need slow, proper introductions, but he has done well with calmer, lower-energy dogs once he has time to get comfortable.
Levi deserves a family that will show him the love, stability, and commitment he has always deserved. If you’re looking for a loyal companion to share quiet days and cozy evenings with, Levi may be your perfect match.
Let’s help this sweet senior find the forever home he should have had all along. 🐾
He will come up to date on all his vaccines, microchipped and his Heartworm test is pending
He is currently available at County Line Pet Hospital for adoption or licensed rescue pull

Part dog. Part shark. 100% unstoppable. 🦈💦
Dog life jackets aren't just adorable, they're genuinely important for water safety, especially for breeds that aren't strong swimmers or dogs that are new to the water.
If your pup is hitting the pool, lake, or boat this summer, a properly fitted life vest is a must! 🙌
Stop in and we can help you find the right fit before summer gets into full swing.

Sunny days, fresh grass, and a ball within reach. This is living. 🙌
June was practically made for afternoons like this one. Your dog doesn't need much to have the best day ever, and that's honestly one of the best things about them. 🐾
What's your dog's favorite outdoor activity this time of year? Drop it in the comments!

STEGER FRIENDS DO YOU KNOW THIS SWEET OLD MAN?!
This Handsome fella was found walking all by himself when Steger PD found him. He was a little tired and hot but he’s cooling off now!
He came in with a collar- but no tag and does have a microchip! We left a few messages for his owner and will send them a letter if we don’t hear back by tomorrow.
In the meantime we wanted to see if anyone on Facebook recognized him?! If you do and you can get us in contact with his owner we would love to chat and try and get him back home.

June tip for backyard flock keepers 🐔
Longer days mean more light, and more light means hens that are working harder. Hens laying consistently in summer heat have higher calcium and protein demands than most people realize.
Three things to check this month:
✅ Are your layers on a dedicated layer feed rather than scratch or mixed grain?
✅ Is oyster shell available free-choice so hens can self-regulate calcium?
✅ Are you checking water daily? Hens in heat can drink twice their normal intake.
A small adjustment now can make a big difference in egg quality and shell thickness heading into the hottest weeks of summer. 🥚

Beach days with your pup are everything. 🌊🐾
But before you hit the sand this June, here are a few things to keep in mind: rinse off saltwater after swimming, watch for overheating on hot sand, bring fresh water, and check if the beach is pet friendly first!
A little prep goes a long way for a safe and fun day out. ☀️
Our pets show up for us every day with unconditional loyalty and quiet comfort. Pet Appreciation Week is the perfect time to celebrate that bond with more than just extra treats.
True appreciation means providing the proactive healthcare and wellness habits your pet deserves to thrive. We are here to help you show your gratitude through every step of their health journey.
