On Sunday at approximately 1:24pm , police responded to a 911 call of shots fired at the intersection of Bathgate Avenue and East 183 Street, within the confines of the 48 Precinct. Upon arrival, officers observed a 25-year-old male, unconscious and unresponsive, with a gunshot wound to the head. EMS responded and transported the aided male to Saint Barnabas hospital where he was pronounced deceased. There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing at this time.
The deceased has been identified as:
Baskin, Achilles
25-year-old male
Late Friday evening, a male was shot on Webster Ave & East 170 St. The victim was removed to an area hospital in an unknown condition.

Westchester to suspend sales tax on home energy costs ahead of cold months The county is suspending its 4% sales tax on home heating oil, propane, natural gas, electric, coal and wood for residential heating purposes.
On October 31, 2022, at 1939 hours police responded to a 911 call of a male stabbed inside of 423 East 136 Street in the confines of the 40 Pct. Upon arrival police discovered a 38-year-old male with a stab wound to the chest. The victim was transported to Lincoln Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. A 53-year-old male was taken into custody and transported to Lincoln Hospital in stable condition with lacerations to his arms. The investigation is ongoing. The identity of the deceased is pending family notification.
On Saturday June 25 at 3:45 pm police responded to shots fired at 129 Street & Sutter Ave in Queens. Upon arrival, officers observed a 31-year-old male sitting in a parked vehicle with gunshot wounds to the neck and torso. EMS responded to the location and transported the victim to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was subsequently pronounced deceased. The victim has be i'd as Satnam Singh of Queens.
On Sunday evening, Police and EMS responded to 40 Scott Drive in the Town of Wappinger for a report of a female stabbed. Upon arrival they found a female in her 20's on the lawn of a neighbors house.
EMS transported the female to Vassar Brothers MC where she expired. Police sent our a BOLO of a vehicle leaving the scene,they discovered it about 30 minutes later in the parking lot of the DutchessCounty Rail Trail.
The Nassau County Homicide Squad is investigating a Homicide that occurred on Thursday, March 31, 2022 at 4:10 PM in North New Hyde Park.
According to Detectives, Third Precinct Officers responded to multiple calls for shots fired in the lower parking garage area of 1999 Marcus Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located a female, 33-years old, with multiple gun-shot wounds. The victim was being attended to by local medical staff from the facility. The female was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced deceased at 4:49 PM by a hospital physician.
The investigation is ongoing.
