From Juniata County, Pennsylvania, to Blacksburg, South Carolina. This beautiful barn got a new home. We've enjoyed putting it up for the last several weeks.
Thanks, Brad and Brittany for this great opportunity! Thanks to my great crew who worked hard to make this happen!

Had quite a bit of fun this winter and spring building' trusses for Antique Building Solutions out of hand hewn beams. They went to a clubhouse in South Carolina.

We built a small log cabin out of hand hewn barn beams. Imagine this as a garden shed in your back yard! It is currently available for sale.

Last but not least, I just worked on this frame for Antique Building Solutions. I think this barn stands out as perhaps the only barn I ever did that was entirely hand hewn. Check with Antique Building Solutions if you want to purchase this one! A cute little 24x36 chestnut frame.

Then there was the barn from Lebanon that we took down in June of '24. At 107' long, this was the longest single timber frame I ever took down. This one went to Indiana.

Spent quite a bit of the spring and summer of 2024 doing a remodel/house addition. Thanks for the work, Randy! You sure gave us a lot a variety on this project, with a tile deck over your living space.

The next frame we took down was a handsome frame in Juniata County. Looking forward to putting it up in South Carolina in the spring!

While taking that barn down, I went to a project we did 14 years ago. Barry Miller was a super nice man to work for. Sadly, he has passed away. The cabin now has new owners and still looks great.

We were really blessed on this project with everything going smoothly and a swift sale. Here's an example of God's blessing on the project.

It's been more than a year since I posted. I guess I don't keep up with this very well. But, here are some projects from the last year.
The barn from the last post went to North Carolina.
One of the best parts about the project was working with an old friend from ten years ago. A real blast from the past. Hi Jon Elinsky!

I have a nice antique timber frame for sale. I plan to reduce it to 29x41--a perfect size for a house. It is mostly oak and chestnut. A complete frame of this size, repaired, tagged, and drawn is available for $22,000.
