Remembering the heroism and sacrifices of our American and Allied troops on the Normandy beaches on as they turned the tide of World War II. 🪖
LEVELING THE PLAYING FIELD
My bill allowing the PIAA to create separate playoffs and state championships for boundary and non-boundary schools has overwhelming bipartisan support from legislators and families across Pennsylvania.
It’s now up to the State Senate to advance this legislation in the interest of equity, fairness, and safety for student athletes.

I welcomed George Eastwood, Executive Director of the Emily Whitehead Foundation, to my office Tuesday to mark Pennsylvania Cancer Action Day and present the Foundation with a citation from the Commonwealth.
I told George that the Whiteheads aren’t just neighbors here in the district, they’re family, and I appreciate everything the Foundation has done to further advanced therapies for cancer and rare diseases.

Today marks Pennsylvania Cancer Action Day 2026, a day when survivors, advocates, caregivers and more will come together from across the state to advocate for life-saving policies.
For our part, we’re welcoming the Emily Whitehead Foundation to the Capitol, and look forward to providing them with a citation from my office for their exceptional work in the Commonwealth and beyond.
Since 2015, the foundation has helped paved the way for over 45,000 individuals to access advanced therapies worldwide, raised more than $4.5 million for research and held successful events like the annual Believe Ball, which celebrates the courageous journeys of patients and their families and supports a brighter future for all patients who can be treated with advanced therapies.
The foundation runs events year-round, so visit www.emilywhiteheadfoundation.org to learn more.

We’re honored to welcome the Emily Whitehead Foundation to the Capitol on Tuesday to mark Pennsylvania Cancer Action Day 2026.
The Whitehead family established the Emily Whitehead Foundation in 2015, three years after Emily became the first child with cancer to successfully receive CAR T-cell therapy. Since then, the foundation has helped over 45,000 individuals access advanced therapies worldwide and raised more than $4.5 million in research. Today, the foundation supports patients and caregivers affected by cancer and rare diseases, and advocates for all patients who can be treated with advanced therapies.
The foundation runs events year-round, so visit www.emilywhiteheadfoundation.com to learn more. To learn more about Pennsylvania Cancer Action Day, visit www.fightcancer.org/pennsylvania-cancer-action-day-2026.
