🍓🍓 Strawberries are here 👩🏻‍🌾

🌳 Now that I learned, with a little effort, that I can pull out smaller trees with the forks- I am unstoppable. Today I am pulling a few out to make way for a deer fence, because this year has been harder than others with the deer.

👩🏻‍🌾 Berry season is slowly starting and will pick up fast!!!

⛺️🐛 It’s that time of year- check your trees (especially fruit trees) for tent caterpillars. My apple tree always gets a nest. Usually, I cut off the branch but this was closer to the trunk so I used a fire starting block and some tongs to get rid of them (the tree will be okay). The earlier you catch them, the smaller the nest will be.

🪓 What dishes look like when you have a dedicated food axe (winter squash/Pumpkin). I’m telling you, getting a food axe is the best thing I ever did and it makes preparing winter squash from the garden extra fun. 🤩

🍄‍🟫 From Mushrooms on the farm to ID, to snack, to dehydrating and making mushroom broth, to canning. The house smells earthy and I have my Vit D for the winter!!

These orchard chews are especially loved by hamsters, rats, mice, gerbils, guinea pigs, chinchillas, rabbits, and other small rodents. Many birds also enjoy them for natural enrichment.

Each bundle is made from real orchard prunings, carefully dried and cut by hand from trees that have never been sprayed.
