Last night I had a dream that people were walking through a church wearing masks.

They looked normal.
They smiled.
They worshipped.

They knew when to lift their hands, when to shout, when to clap, and when to say, "Amen."

The mask made them look the part.

But as they walked around, the masks started slipping.

No one was pulling them off.

They simply could no longer stay in place.

What had been carefully hidden for years was suddenly being revealed.

In this hour the Lord is bringing His Church into a season where appearances will no longer be enough.

The hour of performance is ending.

There have been those who mastered public ministry but neglected private consecration.

They cultivated platforms while abandoning prayer closets.

They learned the language of revival without carrying the fire of holiness.

They knew how to impress people but had never surrendered completely to God.

The mask looked convincing... until it slipped.

Luke 12:2 says, "For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known."

God is not exposing people because He delights in embarrassment.

He exposes because He loves purity.

He uncovers what man has hidden so He can cleanse what is willing to repent. 

But where there is persistent hypocrisy, hidden sin, and refusal to turn, exposure becomes the evidence that God will not allow deception to continue.

But, as I prayed about this dream I heard the Holy Spirit say that the dream was not only about leaders.

Many have worn masks to fit into church culture.

They know the songs, the phrases, the outward expressions, but beneath the surface there has been no real surrender.

They have blended into the crowd while remaining distant from the heart of God.

But the masks are slipping.

Counterfeit devotion cannot survive the weight of God's glory.

The same light that reveals gold also exposes imitation.

Do not mistake exposure for judgment alone.

It is also separation.

The Lord is distinguishing between what is manufactured and what has been formed in His presence.

Between charisma and character.

Between gifting and godliness.

Between religious performance and authentic holiness.

The counterfeit is being uncovered so the genuine can be seen.

We are entering a season where hidden faithfulness will be honored above public recognition.

Those who have wept in secret, obeyed when no one applauded, and guarded purity when no one was watching will be entrusted with greater influence.

God is not merely looking for gifted people, He is looking for clean hands and pure hearts.

The masks are slipping.

And honestly, we need to let them Church.

Because what God is preparing to pour out cannot rest upon a borrowed identity or a manufactured image.

The next move of God will not be sustained by those who know how to wear a mask.

It will be carried by those who have nothing left to hide.
