Children are a high priority for the SCC family. That’s why the church launched its Training His Treasures preschool 10 years ago, offering high-quality preschool for children from birth through four years of age. The school, licensed by the state, is staffed by highly trained teachers who
Training His Treasures is doing a bit of a rest at the summer time depot (our staff needs some R&R, to get ready for all those new little treasures this fall). Lots of new things will be happening in August, lots of changes - lots of fun and learning planned! We have reached out to confirm those children that will be able to attend THT in August, and still have quite the waiting list, so if you have not heard from us, that means your child's name is still on the waiting list. We do have a few spots open in the older classes. If your child is already 3 and turning 4 in the coming months, (or even 4 and turning 5 this year), and you'd like for him/her to join the THT train, send us a message and we will mail you an application. THT is open Tuesdays and Thursdays each week. Doors open at 7:15 for those needing early drop-off, and children are picked up by 4 in the afternoon. (Tuition continues to be $30/day, monthly tuition due the first week of each month.) We will be mailing out letters in the coming week to announce our open house date/time, and things your child will need to be prepared for attending THT. (Don't forget, - a current immunization certificate is needed in your child's file in order for him/her to attend THT - so you should check on that this summer, to be sure your child is up to date on his/her immunizations.) Updates and plenty of information will be added to our Training His Treasures page in the coming weeks, so check for updates regularly. In less than 2 months, our THT train will depart from the station, down the tracks for another great year of learning, fun, and Jesus! Enjoy your summer - see you soon! ,,,, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22: 6
THT parents, please be sure you have caught up tuition payments by Tuesday May 19th -- and a huge thank you to all families who pay tuition timely each month. Being a nonprofit organization, we rely on monthly tuition for supplies, snacks, school insurance, staff payroll, -all of our achool expenses -- its what keeps the train rolling down the track. Thank you in advance for taking care of this (May tuition is $180 for 6 days). Last day of THT is next Thursday May 21st.

Easter egg hunt ...Easter fun at THT!
Callie's Pizza is donating pizzas for our lunch on Thursday! ... if your child likes pizza, you will only need to send a vegetable and a fruit to add to their lunch plate (or 2 vegetables). If your child does not like pizza, feel free to send their regular lunch favorites. Thank you Callie's Pizza! We appreciate your donation to THT!
We are finishing up the month of March - this year is zipping by ... it's hard to believe there are only two months left before summer break. So with that said, here's a few announcements and reminders:
1) Tuesday is our annual THT egg hunt (weather permitting --rain date will be Thursday April 2nd). The egg hunt will begin at 10:30. We need some parents/grandparents to help with "hiding" eggs. If you are able to come help with that fun task, please be at THT by 10:00 and come to the gym door.
We have requested each child to bring 2 dozen filled/plastic eggs (please no peanut butter or candy containing peanuts).
Each child should also bring a basket/bag with his/her name on it, so that they can scoop up and gather eggs as they are hunting.
2) There will be no school on Thursday, April 9th - this is the day for the Stanton Christian Church Ladies' Spring Fling (you have received a flyer about this in your child's folder - and we hope you will attend ... it's always a great evening of Christian fellowship for women). There WILL be school on Tuesday April 7th.
3) Please remember to send a jacket or sweater with your child (even if they do not wear it into school, one should be available in their back pack) - we go outside every chance we get, and we are still having cool mornings. Also, children need to wear comfortable clothing, and shoes that cover their feet (no sandals, flipflops or crocs) - the ground is sometimes damp, and there is mulch on the playground which does not feel good on their little feet. Also, we run and climb a lot - so appropriate footwear is a must.
4) Check your child's backpack for their extra clothing (in case of spills or accidents) - children grow fast .... please be sure the extra clothes are appropriate for the season/weather, and still fit your child. You'd be surprised how often we find they have outgrown the extra clothes in their backpacks.
5) Also, please no difficult snaps on jeans or items that children can't easily get off and on (or up and down). And two piece outfits/clothing are so much better than a one piece (or romper) for the little ones trying to "potty" (and for the teachers trying to help them).
Thanks so much for supporting THT. Your children are amazing, and so are you!

Lots of March fun - playground time, play dough, building blocks, fizzy experiments and -learning about Jesus. The "littles" enjoyed the sunshine and outdoors today. The 3-4's learned about Jesus washing the feet of his disciples, and enjoyed play dough. The 4-5's had fun with building blocks, and a fizzy experiment- and we all enjoyed our Palm Sunday celebration, with our Hosanna parade.
Celebrating Palm Sunday with our annual THT Hosanna parade ... Jumping up and down, jumping up and down, jumping up and down, shout hosanna- Hosanna!
