🧡 This week, our participant, Mayorin de la Rosa, took the stage at the Third Annual City of Stamford Unity Breakfast, hosted by The Ferguson Library, and reminded us exactly why we do what we do. Mayorin came from the Dominican Republic, started over from scratch, sold her apartment to open her own business, and every Saturday for more than six months, she chose to drive to B1C to prepare for her citizenship.

In November, she became a United States citizen. Today, she is the proud owner of Smart Kids Daycare (). Thank you to the Ferguson Library for creating a space where stories like Mayorin's can be heard.

We are so grateful to the UConn DMD Department for making this happen. Thank you for being part of this milestone!
