Recently, we joined our colleagues and friends from Connecticut Credit Unions and CUBFI (Credit Unions Building Financial Independence) at their annual golf tournament, a great day bringing credit unions together in support of building stronger financial futures for our communities.

This year, Hole 9 was dedicated as a tribute to our beloved President & CEO, Kathy Chartier. Kathy was a passionate advocate for financial inclusion, financial literacy, and education within the credit union movement. We continue to feel her absence deeply, and we are truly grateful for the kindness and support shared by our colleagues and friends.💜

Kathy was often present at Hole 9 volunteering, and it was a meaningful way to honor her memory. Thank you to Connecticut Credit Unions and CUBFI for a wonderful event, including this special tribute, and congratulations on a great golf tournament turnout. ⛳

Congratulations to Leidy and Marc on their recent graduation from CT State Community College! 🎓🎉 We are incredibly proud of their hard work, dedication, and commitment to both their education and our community.

During the 2026 tax season, Leidy and Marc, together with the dedicated team at SimplifyCT, helped more than 200 families file their taxes and secure over $358,963 in tax refunds at our credit union. Their collective efforts helped put money back into the pockets of hardworking individuals and families throughout our community.💵

We were grateful to participate in Stamford Day, an initiative led by the Mayor’s Multicultural Council that reflects the richness and diversity of Stamford’s communities.💜

This event brought together local partners and organizations in support of inclusion, connection, and shared growth. We enjoyed connecting with community members, listening to their stories and needs, and sharing how our cooperative can help them achieve their financial goals while strengthening financial well-being across the Stamford community.

For many years, Kathy led with heart, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to the members and communities we proudly serve. Her impact on Members Credit Union will be lasting and deeply meaningful.

During this difficult time, we ask that you keep Kathy’s family, loved ones, staff, and all those impacted by her passing in your thoughts.
The Board of Directors and leadership team are actively coordinating continuity efforts, and Members Credit Union continues operating normally while we honor Kathy’s legacy and service.
