The Vineyard Race was shorter but equally challenging. Along with eighty boat...

Dave Rosow on Loki was the fastest corrected time by a boat with a buzzard skipper so he therefore is the 2024 winner of the Buzzard Trophy! We look forward to seeing pictures of this stunning trophy on his mantle.

Buzzard burgees on the Vineyard Race course! It's always exciting to see how many Buzzard burgees we can spot on the boat at the start. Here's a selection of them. What's a Buzzard you ask? It's someone who has sailed in the Vineyard Race 10 or more times. If you think you qualify, drop a note to [email protected]. Oh yes, there are special Buzzard perks at the trophy awards party!

Ah, thanks for the memories. Here's a reminder from one of the early Buzzards Society dinners from 2011 at the Stamford Yacht Club.

Here's a little known fact:
The term or name for a group of buzzards varies depending on where they are, although the generic term is a flock. When they are flying in formation, they are referred to as a kettle. When they are resting in a tree or on the ground buzzards are called a committee, and whilst feeding, they are known as a wake.

Based on the above, I guess this is a committee of buzzards!
