Last night, Building and Land Technology (BLT) gave back to the Stamford South End community by donating 250 turkeys at Harbor Point Square. BLT employees volunteered their time, connecting with families and sharing gratitude during this special holiday season.

Thanks to South End organizations like South End NRZ, Ferguson Library South End Branch, Stamford Boys & Girls Club, and The Community Action Agency of Western CT for helping spread the word.

In a year with soaring food prices—Connecticut ranks 4th highest for turkey costs—this effort felt more meaningful than ever. A huge thank-you to the BLT team for making a real difference through your kindness and dedication!

🎃 Halloween at The Beacon was a fantastic success! Families came together in the park, creating a lively and inviting space for kids to enjoy trick-or-treating while parents had the chance to connect with one another. The turnout was even bigger than expected, with many residents—kids or no kids—joining in to hand out candy and donate treats. 🧡

This event truly brought our community closer, and we’re so grateful to everyone who made it a memorable celebration! Until next year, Beacon residents! 👻🍬

🏃‍♂️🦃 Join us for the 13th Annual Harbor Point Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving morning, November 28th! 🦃🏃‍♀️

This free 5K run/walk through scenic Harbor Point is perfect for all—whether you’re running, walking, or somewhere in between. Pets are welcome, and costumes are encouraged! 🐾🎽

Check-in starts at 7:30 AM, with the race kicking off at 8 AM. Also in the spirit of Thanksgiving, we’re partnering with Person-to-Person, Inc. Participants are welcome to bring a non-perishable food item for their Stamford-based mobile food pantry, which will be onsite.

Most needed items: peanut butter, pasta, rice, canned beans, and granola bars.
