A little Missouri connection to believe in! ⚽🎬
The new season of “Ted Lasso” premieres today on Apple TV, and Season 4 begins in Kansas City at CPKC Stadium—the home of the Kansas City Current and the first stadium built specifically for a professional women’s soccer team.
We’re excited to share that several actors represented by TalentPlus had the opportunity to work on the series while it filmed in Kansas City. It’s wonderful to see members of our roster working on a globally recognized production right here in Missouri.
The new season shifts its focus to AFC Richmond’s women’s team, making Kansas City and the growth of women’s soccer a fitting part of the story. The article below offers a fascinating look at how CPKC Stadium, the Kansas City Current and the city itself helped shape the season.
Congratulations to all the Missouri talent and crew who contributed to the production—we’ll be watching for some familiar faces! 👏

From self-tapes to the final day on set—that’s a wrap! 🎬
John Pierson, Adrienne Lamping, Todd Gillenardo, Emma Reinagel, London Kimble, Amy Holland Pennell and Eric Dean White recently completed work in principal roles on a feature film shot in the St. Louis area this summer.
Projects like this begin long before the cameras start rolling. Current headshots, an updated résumé, accurate profile information and strong video materials all help casting see where an actor may fit when the right opportunity arrives.
TalentPlus actors: take a moment to review your Actors Access profile. Is your résumé current? Do your headshots reflect how you look today? Have you added your latest footage and credits? Keeping your materials ready allows us to submit you confidently when feature films and other productions begin casting throughout Missouri and the Midwest.
Congratulations to John, Adrienne, Todd, Emma, London, Amy and Eric on completing the film! 👏🎥

These are some of the faces who helped make July happen at TalentPlus! 🎬📸
July represents feature films, corporate productions, modeling assignments —and even a double-booking month for Angela Giancola, who worked with two separate clients!
🎥 Adrienne Lamping, Emma Reinagel , Eric Dean White, Todd Gillenardo, Amy Holland Pennell, London Kimble , Daniel Chioco and John Pierson worked on feature films made possible in part by Missouri’s current film tax incentive. These productions are creating opportunities for our actors to build their résumés and work on exciting film projects right here in the Midwest.
🎬 Bob Kochan, Kunthearath Nhek-Morrissey, Melanie Imani, Mae L. and Areaj Mubarak worked on corporate on-camera bookings.
📸 Michael Harris, Erin Brewer, Katie Koenig, Ferrin Young, Adam Wilson and Omri P. were all requested for modeling assignments
🎙️ Kristen Ashley lent her VO skills for a new audio spot.
& Chad Crenshaw made the trip to St. Louis for a commercial client! 🎥
Many Talent. Many different types of bookings. One very full July!

Missouri film is having a moment—and TalentPlus actors are right in the middle of the action! 🎬🕵️♀️
A murder mystery film series has returned to film two of its sequels in Jefferson City and we’re excited to have familiar faces returning to set alongside talent joining the mystery for the first time.
Productions like these show why Missouri’s film tax incentive, championed and passed in 2023, matters. It is helping bring productions, jobs and new opportunities to communities across our state—and giving Midwest actors the chance to build meaningful on-camera credits without always having to travel to a coast.
Congratulations to our actors stepping onto set in Jefferson City! We’ll be watching for your familiar faces when these mysteries make their screen debut. 🔎

🎬 Another feature film is heading to Missouri!
Kansas City native and Saturday Night Live alum Heidi Gardner will star alongside Emmy-winning and Oscar-nominated actor William H. Macy in the new dramedy The Swimming Lesson. Production is scheduled to begin this summer in Kansas City, Missouri.
St. Louis audiences may remember William H. Macy portrayed Jack Buck in Soul on Fire, which filmed right here in the St. Louis region and became the first feature film to utilize Missouri’s current film incentive.
It’s exciting to see that incentive continue to bring major productions and recognizable names to communities across our state. Our actors are submitted for opportunities filming in Kansas City and beyond—giving Missouri talent even more chances to work close to home.
Missouri’s film industry continues to make a splash, and we’re excited to see what comes next! 🎥🌊

🎬 Myth vs. Fact
MYTH: Your agent can get feedback on every audition.
FACT: Feedback is rarely provided after auditions.
One of the most common questions we receive is, "Can you ask casting why I wasn't selected?" or "Can you find out what I could have done differently?"
The reality is that casting directors and producers are often reviewing hundreds of submissions and auditions while simultaneously casting multiple projects. Once a casting decision has been made, they are already focused on the next role, the next scene, or the next production.
While constructive feedback would certainly be helpful, it's simply not part of the standard casting process. In most cases, agencies receive the same information you do—we're notified if you're moving forward, placed on hold, or released from consideration. Detailed notes about why someone wasn't selected are rarely shared.
It's also important to remember that not booking a role doesn't mean you gave a poor audition. Casting decisions are influenced by many factors beyond performance, including the creative vision of the director, chemistry with other actors, age range, appearance, availability, scheduling, and countless project-specific needs.
Every audition is an opportunity to introduce yourself to casting. A "no" today can absolutely become a "yes" on a future project because casting remembers strong auditions.
Keep training. Keep auditioning. Trust the process. Your next opportunity could be just around the corner.
