💚 KingsVille Community Update (Mon. 6/1/26)🚦

KingsVille attendees — including several new‑to‑KingsVille Kingsway East neighbors — showed up with honesty, care, and commitment at this week’s community meeting. Here’s what we accomplished together.

❤️ Wellness Check
We opened with prayer and a traffic‑light check‑in. KingsVille will be reaching out to offer support and connection to neighbors who indicated they were in a yellow or red space.

🏡 Supporting a Resident
A major focus of the meeting was a request for a letter of support to purchase the LRA lot next to a resident’s home.
Her goals:
- Secure the property
- Install fencing
- Address ongoing safety concerns

Neighbors shared similar experiences with vacant lots and strongly supported her effort. KingsVille will help connect her with the right city contacts to address those nuisance concerns.

🛠️ Neighborhood Issues & City Service Requests
Residents raised several concerns for the Citizen Service Bureau via our incredible NISs, including:
- Tree removal and stump grinding
- Overgrown trees
- Streetlight outages (resolved in under 24 hours)
- Property damage and alley wire theft (addressed in under 24 hours)

These issues have been forwarded to the appropriate departments, and follow‑up will continue.

🎉 Community Events
Neighbors were invited to upcoming community events, including the Juneteenth celebration at Northside Community School.
