Fallen from old grace.
Once esteemed by ring
A laughingstock now
To the human race.

There is no love though
True chivalry dead.
At least I thought so,
Til we met and

I’m told this is wrong
To pledge myself pure.
But when you feel strong
For one gal alone,
They got the wrong cure.

Heart and mind agree
Ain’t much I can do.
But what you can see
Though I try and run,
I can’t unlove you.

Ah, how time flies
Though the days seemed long.
A prisoner unaware of his sentence,
Thought himself shackled by love,
But oh, how he was wrong.
