This is the introductory paragraph in an article I am drafting regarding several peculiar legal malpractice cases.

While researching case law regarding legal malpractice, I came across something peculiar; several cases incorrectly state the elements of a legal malpractice action. Unfortunately, no one has brought these errors to light. If nothing is done, these abnormal cases may mature into an unhealthy body of law. Hopefully, the Missouri Courts of Appeals and the Missouri Supreme Court will overturn these cases. However, until these erroneous cases are so overturned, it would be prudent to be aware of and to comply with these (erroneous) essential elements.
