Tuesday we kicked off the new year with our first meeting. Members gathered to learn about the board members, upcoming events for the year and were fortunate to have Laura Gayton MHCA, BSN, RN, CNOR, CSSL present the board report with plenty of ways for members to be active at the national level. Afterwards we engaged in a round of putt putt to top off the night. Congrats to treasurer Jen Pohr for winning the night!

Meet Amy Mueller our chapter's Community Liaison. She will be working with groups in the St.Louis community to provide opportunities for members to volunteer and share their times and talents with.

Amy currently is the Resource Nurse at BJWCH for ENT/Spine service lines. She likes to travel, listen to live music & spend time with family/friends.

Lisa Scott is Program Coordinator- Ophthalmology at SSM St. Louis U Hospital South Campus, soon to be relocated to St. Mary’s with the Ophthalmology service. I began my career in the OR at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in ENT at Pod 5 and the CAM at Pod 4. I am proud of my CNOR certification and mentorship for the PNDP program before it became Career Ladder.

When not working, my husband and I love to travel and visit our adult kids who are opera singers.

Hi! I'm Lindsey, the Educator for our local AORN St. Louis Chapter. I started my perioperative nursing journey at Barnes-Jewish Hospital over 11 years ago in POD 5, working with Neuro and ENT. Along the way, I fell in love with spine surgery and became the Spine Resource Nurse. Today, you can find me serving as the Clinical Education Specialist for POD 5 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, where our specialties include Neuro, Spine, ENT, Transplant, and General Surgery/Oncology.

When I'm not at work, I'm usually tackling a DIY home project, crafting, or spending time with my boys.

We have a lot of exciting things planned for our chapter this year! I hope you'll come out and join us. I look forward to meeting new members, reconnecting with familiar faces, and seeing everyone soon!
