For LGBTQ youth involved in foster care, acceptance and belonging can have a lasting impact. Every young person deserves to be seen, respected and supported for who they are while building connections that help them grow and thrive.

At Children's Permanency Partnership, we know that strong relationships matter. Whether through reunification, adoption, guardianship or another permanent connection, young people benefit from having caring adults in their lives who provide encouragement, stability and support.

It is made possible through the commitment of parents working toward change, foster families offering care and support and professionals and community partners walking alongside them every step of the journey.

At Children’s Permanency Partnership, we recognize that permanency is at the heart of every child’s sense of belonging and security. Reunification is one of the most powerful ways that permanency can be achieved, and it reflects what is possible when support systems align around family strength.

This month, we celebrate the resilience of families who have achieved reunification and we honor everyone who plays a role in making those outcomes possible.

This Memorial Day Weekend, we pause to honor the brave individuals who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice is not forgotten, and their legacy continues in every moment of freedom we are able to share with the families and children in our communities.

At Children’s Permanency Partnership, this weekend also reminds us of something deeply rooted in our mission: the importance of stability, connection and safe, loving homes. As we reflect, we also hold close the children and families we serve and the work being done every day to support lasting permanency.

We hope this weekend offers space for gratitude, reflection and time with the people who matter most. However you spend it, may it be filled with care, meaning and moments of peace.
