Covid 19 Precautions
My first priority is guest safety. I have always tried my best to keep the Benton Park Inn clean, now I will focus even more on disinfection. Here are a few of our current protocols:

Guest rooms will remain empty for AT LEAST 24 hours between guests.
Rooms will be ventilated between guests.
After cleaning, rooms will be disinfected with special focus on touched surfaces.
I’ll be wearing a mask while interacting with you and preparing breakfast. You can’t tell, but I’m smiling.
I have and will continue to practice significant social distancing to protect myself and guests, avoiding unnecessary crowds and situations.
The Benton Park Inn is a 3 room bed and breakfast. Choosing a small accommodation might just be that extra layer of protection you are looking for. A full house here is only 6 people, plus me, … and the dog. If you do choose to join us, we will do everything we can to keep you safe. Thank you.

LOVE IS INN THE AIR

Everybody thinks about love around Valentine's day. But a special evening of dinner, a show or live music capped off with a night at a bed and breakfast, is a way to show your special someone love all year long.

I've been deeply honored to help couples celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, or just a romantic evening for no special reason at all. Which in its own way is very special.

The Benton Park Inn is close to restaurants, bars, live events and so much more. Surprise your special someone whether it's Valentine's day or not. PS This week a man proposed to his significant other here. She said yes.

BOOKING DIRECT
I’m working with a new reservation system! I’m excited to be partnered now with ThinkReservations. The old system was working but was a little clunky. Then they got bought out by another company that completely dropped the ball at customer service. I really like good customer service.

Lots of folks find a place to stay using online travel agencies. You know their names. They’re big names with lots of television commercials advertising them. It’s a good way to find a place to stay. I know, I use them all the time. But it’s a great idea to visit your bed and breakfast’s own website and to book direct.

My new reservation system is going to make that a lot easier. Going directly to an inn’s website is going to give you a lot more information about the inn, it’s rooms, and the neighborhood. Booking directly makes it easier if you want to change your reservation, cancel your reservation, check in early, check out late, get other special treatment, or answer any other questions or concerns. There’s not a third-party in between you and your innkeeper.

And yes, a little more money stays in the innkeeper’s pocket. But you will NEVER pay more, booking direct. It’s a win-win. (Except maybe for the big online travel agencies. They’re going to make plenty of money and be just fine.) Booking direct with a bed and breakfast it’s like shopping locally. Give it a try! An innkeeper will thank you.

Welcome - Benton Park Inn

Happy New Year! Holidays are over. I hope you enjoyed yours. I'm packing up the last of Christmas. I like to leave the decorations up through New Year's and Epiphany. It's a good excuse to leave decorations up longer.

I have one New year's resolution. Besides losing weight, eating right, exercising, etc. Those resolutions I've made lots of years before. This year, I will blog!

The Benton Park Inn has a new reservation system. The company I was working with was bought out. I've now partnered with ThinkReservation. I think it's going to make the experience of booking through my website much easier and more pleasant. A few hiccups so far, but I hope to get the hang of it soon. Here's to 2019!

PS Gertie got squeaky toys for Christmas. Why Santa!?! Why!?!
