The Fourth of July is Monday, which means loud fireworks over the nexr couple of days.
Its time to plan now to make sure you keep your pets safe this Independence Day.
4 Quick tips:
1. Create a Safe Place
2. Stay With Your Dog and Provide Comfort

A thought about "balanced" training:
We all desire balance and harmony in our animals as well as ourselves. This can be achieved with patience, kindness and persistence. It also requires respect for the welfare of the animals in our charge. They are sensitive and they make choices that can be reinforced, or not reinforced (or they can make you laugh every 10 feet like a certain Aussie named Rami).
But when a trainer uses the word "balance" as a euphemism for punishment and intimidation, there is no equilibrium, no fairness, and certainly no balance. Instead, the word should be a red flag, and red flags are best avoided.
