Locality Studio

In January, the Locality Studio team visited Berthoud, Colorado for our first site visit of the Town's rebrand project! We met some great people, saw beautiful sites, and learned a LOT. Looking forward to the creative decisions coming next!

Last week took us to chilly Grand Rapids, Michigan for our role in Grand Valley Metropolitan Council's TDM Communications and Outreach Plan, led by Em + H Chicago LLC.

This is the kind of work we love, collaborative, grounded in real experience, and focused on creating solutions that actually serve the people who use them.

Here's the truth: even the best planning work can fail if it's not designed well.
We've worked on award-winning comprehensive plans, historic preservation documents, and master plans across the country. And time and again, we've seen how thoughtful design transforms these documents from intimidating technical reports into tools that actually get used.

Really proud moment for this one!

The Hot Springs Heritage and Historic Preservation Plan we worked on with MKSK has won the 2025 Ned Shank Award for Outstanding Preservation Publication from Preserve Arkansas.

This project was about listening carefully, honoring history, and helping create a framework that protects what makes Hot Springs special, while still allowing it to evolve. Huge thanks to MKSK, Preserve Arkansas, and everyone who contributed their time, stories, and expertise to make this plan meaningful.

So grateful to have been part of it.
