As the spring season comes to a conclusion, we are gearing up for summer by planting a variety of fall crops like tomatoes, peppers, okra, and cucumbers, and saying see ya later this year to our cool-season crops. 🌶️🍅

However, our farm will continue to feature small animals for visitors to cuddle. We welcome you to visit us on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 12-6pm. 🤗🐰

You should taste these carrots! They are irregularly shaped but some of the best I've ever tasted. The carrots and various other vegetables are available for purchase today. We will remain open until 7pm today.

🌻 New Roots Urban Farm's most impactful volunteer work takes place directly across from our farm, in partnership with Hogan Street Regional Youth Center, with whom we've worked consistently over the past 5 years.

Recently, we planted an array of produce including peppers, tomatoes, herbs, and melons in the center's upgraded raised beds and built a new enclosure for goats. Upcoming deliveries include a pair of bunnies and a flock of Cayuga ducks.

We are extending our hours to 9-6pm today only. Drop by and shop for bok choy, lettuce, chard, mustard greens, collards, kale, green onions, mint, basil, sage, lemon grass, beets, kohlrabi, and finger-sized carrots that are so sweet! 🥕🫜🥬

☀️While this work can be demanding, the smiles of our satisfied customers and dedicated volunteers motivate us to continue. Our farm is open for business every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 12-6pm, and we strongly encourage those interested to volunteer during these times. We appreciate your support!!! 💪🏾
