Polyphilo

On this date in 2015, Polyphilo and its self-titled album made their debut on Rubberstamp Records. Polyphilo was, like The Vertigo Swirl in those days, a project built around Manik Myk and Brian Andrew Marek, but much less defined in its intent. Resultantly, this album is a bouillabaisse of rock, folk, punk, country, even a touch of mock gospel, but there's little sign of the psychedelic/progressive tendencies one would expect of the Swirl. There has not yet been a full CD or streaming release of Polyphilo, however the best of its tracks are included as bonus tracks on the 2nd and final (to date) Polyphilo album, In the Year of the Plague (tracks 16-25).
