Jeff's love for art is matched only by his love for his students. With every Make Your M.A.R.C.® cohort, he takes the time to get to know each young artist, encouraging them to try, to fail, and to create something from themselves. Our team is deeply grateful for the care and encouragement he brings to our students. We know he finds things like this embarrassing, so we’ll leave it at that.

A big thank you to Dr. Jason Vasser-Elong, who taught spoken word for this Veteran Make Your M.A.R.C.® cohort. His thoughtful feedback and encouragement helped participants bring their stories to life. We hope to have him back soon!

The beauty of fixing broken things... At our May Community Creation Event, we explored kintsugi (the art of repairing broken pottery with gold) and reflected on the power of resiliency.

Shuqing Ma has been a cornerstone of our Make Your M.A.R.C.® program for over three years. On day one, Shu asks, “What kind of music do you listen to?” By connecting the musicians our students already love to their inspirations, she encourages them to create something beautiful of their own.
Shu’s love for music reminds our entire team of its transcendent power to connect us with ourselves and others. We are so grateful for the grounded care and creativity Shu has brought to Hope Creates and Make Your M.A.R.C.® since cohort #2!

Meet Allora!

We’re excited to learn Kintsugi from her at our Community Creation Event this Sunday. Eat, create, and take home your own piece of golden-repaired pottery.

Thank you so much to the Cardinals Care grant team for selecting Hope Creates as one of the recipients of your grant this year! With the funds awarded to us, we will be able to purchase supplies for approximately 10 youth attending our Make Your M.A.R.C. program. We are so grateful to be in this amazing and generous community!
