My daughter's education MATTERS!!!! A letter I wrote to Missouri's State senator, Josh Hawley

Good Afternoon,

I am a very concerned parents of a 1st grader who benefits from an IEP. I am VERY concerned about our current political climate and its blatant attack on disabled youth. I am wondering what you are going to do to protect your tax paying citizens, and their children from being segregated from public education. I see zero progress being made in Missouri to help our children and their education. We are going backwards in time and it is deplorable. We need IMMEDIATE ACTION to be made on our behalf, and I will not rest until I see some backbone in Washington. You are an elected official and should be fighting for us, not against us. Please fight so that my daughter can grow up in a state she is proud of. Do the right thing, do not allow "school choice" to pass. This is not a solution it is a complete dismantling of all that has been fought by parents of disabled youth for the last 50 years, and will completely fail all children currently benefiting from public education. Do your job, do better, and do what you know in your heart is right. Do not fail us.
