Black Rabbit Vintage will be closed today 1/30 in solidarity with the National Shutdown.

I am not an immigrant
I am not a POC
I am a cis gendered white woman that owns a small business
I am an ally

This month has been exceptionally hard on small businesses in our communities. The weather, the economy, the political discord that is happening world wide- it’s suffocating.

I’m not going to lie and say I’m not struggling. But that is a post for another day.

I am not here to shade or shame any other small businesses that have chosen to remain open today. It is important to recognize that a lot of people do not have the privilege to not work or close. I have seen an outpouring of community spaces, sign making, free coffee and comfort- it’s a beautiful thing.

If you have the means to participate in the shutdown- please do.
If you spend any money today- please spend it locally and with a small, immigrant, or POC owned business.

Use cash, direct where you put your money, we don’t need large corporations in our day to day life. What we need to do is support our communities. Supporting our communities supports our environment. Supporting our environment supports the future we want to see.

Find your community and fill that space with the voice of the people today. Go make signs. Gather. Drink coffee and hug your neighbors. Go and try that immigrant owned restaurant that you’ve never been in but “it always smells so good.” JUST GO DO IT.
PAY CASH.

So yes, I will be closed today.
Please show up for us small businesses this weekend.
We need it.

Love you, mean it

Vintage gloves for sale!
Make sure y’all are keeping those middle fingers warm out there🖕🖕🖕

*If this offends you, you are sensitized to the wrong things*

Got gloves to spare? We have a year round drop box at the shop to collect items for our friends to distributed to our unhoused community. Please follow their page to see what they need. Accepting donations during all open shop hours.

Thursday-Saturday 12-6
Sunday 12-4

I’m here for you if you need a space to cry, vent, talk, need a hug, or need a space to not be alone.

“Yo soy conejo”🐇
Bring home Liam. Let them all go home.

Hey!
Happy snowpacalyps 2026.
We will be closed both today 1/24 and 1/25 due to the impending torrential downfall of snow and extreme low temperatures.

Today will be used on sewing projects. And if you’re lucky- maybe I’ll even show you!

Please stay safe out there.
Please help your neighbors if you can.
If you have the means, there are aid groups on the ground trying to get supplies to our unhoused communities.
Consider donating directly to them to assist in warm food, shelter, and essentials.

Stand together.

Love you, mean it
