So I did a thing last saturday πŸ™ƒ it's been 14 months since I've been in a K3

I was home Friday and thought, "I miss karting. I should race tomorrow." So I hit up the great and we made it happen. The first two practices were my testing the waters sessions. I was hanging with the top guys throughout the day. But wanted to follow and see where my pace was.

Heat one I started 2nd and immediately lost it to 3rd but knew it was a long day and the points weren't awarded for the heats. Beckman caught me after 4 laps, after I had tapped the 11s bumper in the apex of the north pole. Ruining all my momentum. I decided to play the long game and not fight too much. As the higher avg finish was more important than a DNF. Finishing in P4.

Heat 2 was a race full of fun!!! I got to actually test myself and see where I was. I passed 15 karts that race. 10 of which in the first lap. A video of that will be on the channel πŸ˜‚. Finished it in a strong P9 after starting 25!

The final was a very strong one from me. I started P6 and had to earn where I finished. It wasn't easy with the fast guys in front of me. But I knew I had worked the day out slowly on purpose and this was the time to put my best foot forward! I got through the field and just barely caught James with 2 to go. Fighting for the last podium spot. It was a fun battle as we are team mates. We both defended hard but fair. And that's what it's about! I was able to get around and claim 3rd place with one to go and man it felt great. Especially since I haven't been in a K3 in 14 MONTHS Since my pole start at Daytona!

None of it could have been possible without helping me race that Saturday, along with making a dependable chassis at the . And finally, for making it the Kartplex's home so many years ago!

This isn't the end of me racing this year, it's only the beginning!

When in Charlotte, you have to find a NASCAR racing Arcade game and get to the top of the leader boards πŸ˜‚

Had a blast at a restaurant with some friends who just moved to North Carolina. What a place to do it at with great NASCAR PHOTOS AND BODYWORK! So glad to have seen you guys after so long!

Also Such a fun time for my first time at the pit since IAME was taking up the track of Trackhouse! I definitely didn't regret my decision! Shout out to Gavin for helping me feel at home in the karts. And awesome job from all the workers who put up with the shinanigans of people all day long on a Saturday! I will definitely be back!

SIDE NOTE: A lot of people thought I was a NASCAR DRIVER. While I am pleased to have that feeling, no I am not one .............yet πŸ˜πŸ˜„

Last weekends virtual race was one to forget πŸ˜πŸ™ƒ.

I qualified 8th in Top Split on Saturday. 0.1 separated me from the pole. Had a solid first stint holding myself in the top ten. But after the first caution and pittingnfor tires. All chaos broke loose.

Making me have to go three wide in a situation of a car getting to high up in the corner, then proceeded to loose it right into me. Had to fix 7+ mins of damage putting me 20 laps down. Only to finish this race in 29th place πŸ™„.

That puts me now 80th in the world and 18th in my division. I just pray that Kansas is less of a sketch fest πŸ₯²
