Giving Hope Project

Lighting the Path is looking at how to best serve women and girls in northern Ghana. There are great needs in this area and unsafe activity for women. We are exploring building a women and girls center to rescue and train young women and give them hope for a better future! We will share with them how valuable they are and how loved by God!

Lighting the Path is checking into what is needed and the best ways to help incoming Ukrainian refugees! The organizations here are overwhelmed and we know additional help is SO needed. We will happily share information with the wonderful big hearted people we are privileged to know and admire and we can see what we can organize and do to help! We welcome information from others who know of ways to help also!

Giving hope to girls in Africa!!! So exciting to see this come together!

This year has limited our ability to teach classes and made us look to find a new approach to helping those in need. We are going to move forward doing more individualized assistance. We will be mentoring with skills and business training and welcome support to "sponsor" an individual through the program. We may have more volunteer openings as the program grows.
We are excited to soon open our "Empowerment Marketplace" online store which will offer goods from the training or small businesses of the individuals we are working with! All proceeds will support the training or go directly to the maker/artisan! We currently have handmade soaps, hand poured soy candles and masks hand sewn from beautiful African fabrics! We will announce the launch of the site, so stay tuned! May you all have a blessed 2021!!!

Giving hope to refugee women through skills! Teaching them to sew and make products to earn an income! It is so fun and they are so very grateful!

Lighting the Path is helping marginalized women build a life and have hope for a better future with the Giving Hope Project! It is teaching women how to sew, make soap and handmade goods and how to open their own business! We can use your help! We need volunteers to help teach or donations to help us expand the program, buy sewing machines and project supplies! We also need help finding a building to run programs in!
