Louis (and the world!) a commercial-free, volunteer-run, community-supported reimagining of the days when FM radio was the place to hear exciting new music played by DJs who selected the music, knew all about the music, and—some would say—pretty much lived for the music. This Saturday on Down Yonder and Beyond on The Roots FM - Free Form Radio, 11:00 am

Hour 1: This coming Sunday is the 85th birthday of Bob Dylan, arguably one of the greatest songwriters in history. He's both a musical and cultural icon. Just say "Dylan" and most people know exactly who you mean. His folk songs inspired a generation. His plugging in "making folk music electric revolutionized folk music, just as it refined what was possible in rock & roll. Artists in all genres have rich material to cover in the Dylan songbook, and bluegrass is no exception. The first hour will be "Tangled Up In Bluegrass," the best bluegrass covers of Dylan songs.

Hour 2: The summer festival season is about to get underway, and the first festival in our area is the Folky Fish Fest, which takes place next Friday and Saturday at Meramec Springs Park south of St. James MO. The lineup includes The Kyle Tuttle Band, The The HillBenders, Michael Prewitt & Crunchgrass Supreme, The David Mayfield Parade, The Dillards, and others. The second hour of Down Yonder will feature double plays from each of these artists.

Listen live at 11:00 am on TheRootsFM.org, also available on the TuneIn Radio app. And while you're on TheRoots website, click "The Big Move" link to learn about how you can help us with our big move to a new home on Macklind. See you yonder ... and beyond.
