No need for anxiety!

I saw this post on another entrepreneur's page and it took me back for a second. This message can be triggering in a positive of negative way. I think regardless of where 'we' are in our business, we always think we can do more. That mindset causes anxiety to plot, plan, and push HARDER!

However, I say take the time to see your revenue and compare it to where you were when you started. Recognize the progress you've created and celebrate your accomplishment. See your growth and replicate that and you'll continue to grow!

On this day we graduated 36 amazing individuals from the Learn 2 Tech cohort of the Digital Literacy Program where they learned foundational skills in:
- Digital Communications
- Career Development
- Digital Tools for Everyday Life

This program is made possible by the amazing partnership of Liv Group, MoveWorth, St. Louis Development Corporation - SLDC, Goodwill Industries International (Excel Center) and the people who support the work; Tanjii Cole , Melissa LaBerta, Bill Ray and our amazing teams who are making an impact in the City of St. Louis Government .

Participants in the qualified census tracts were also provided a new Laptop and 1-year subscription hotspot connection as a bonus.

Collaboration was the theme of the day as SBEC welcomed the James S. McDonnell Foundation (JSMF) for an immersive learning session on small-business growth. Representatives from St. Louis Small Business Empowerment Center, JSMF, business owners, and corporate partners gathered on February 19 to explore how coordinated capital, customer-acquisition support, and technical assistance impact the success of small- and minority-owned businesses.

JSMF collaborates with SBEC to fund a $1.9 million revolving loan fund to provide working capital to minority entrepreneurs. "For every $25,000 in capital, one new job is created," announced SBEC Executive Director Kevin Wilson

In 2025, 25 minority businesses received funding, and four of those recipients—Under Grace Home Health Agency, Freddie Lee’s Gourmet Sauce, The GEM Factory, and Hudson and Associates, LLC—shared how access to capital has fueled their dreams. Ecosystem partners from Edward Jones US, St. Louis Community Credit Union, and Greater St. Louis, Inc. discussed their roles in connecting businesses with opportunities.

Upon completing the Learn 2 Tech 4-week cohort, participants received a FREE laptop and 1 year hotspot service from T-Mobile. We've had over 30+ graduates so far and we're still going. Looking forward to more impact in the city of St. Louis in 2026.
