Earlier this month, EWR was awarded a contract to supply NOAA with 3 transportable weather radar facilities. Under the contract, EWR will provide one C-Band and two X-Band E800LP solid state weather radar systems mounted on purpose built truck platforms.

This week, EWR is exhibiting at the Varysian Hydromet Africa event in Pretoria, South Africa.

The event focuses on the advancement of hydrometeorological services across Africa and unites experts from the continent, fostering collaboration and innovation in weather forecasting and disaster preparedness.

The container-based systems feature hydraulic radar towers, climate controlled radomes, climate controlled office areas with built-in workstations, backup power supplies, various meteorological sensors and communication devices.
