Cursillo STL
An encounter with Christ and a Model for Christian living. Cursillo, in this context, means "a short course in Christianity."
About Us...
Cursillo (pronounced cur-SEE-yo) is a Spanish word meaning "short course"; it might be best described as a seminar. It begins with a weekend, starting on a Thursday evening and continuing until Sunday evening. The weekend consists of daily celebration of the Mass, visits to the Blessed Sacrament, talks, meditations, and good old-fashioned Christian fellowship. The goal of the weekend i

Please keep fellow Cursillista Eric Voss in your prayers as he undergoes foot surgery tomorrow.
We ask the Lord to guide the hands of the surgical team as they repair his foot with pins & a plate, granting a successful procedure & a smooth recovery.
Please also pray for patience, strength, and peace for Eric during the next 12 weeks of healing.
Prayers are greatly appreciated for our brother in Christ, Eric Voss!

Dear Cursillistas,
The Catholic Bishops of Missouri are calling the faithful & all people of good will to pray & fast for the passage of Amendment 3, which will appear on the November 3 ballot.
As Cursillistas, we know the power of prayer, sacrifice, & palanca.
We invite you to join Catholics across Missouri in committing to a day of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, through the intercession of Our Blessed Mother, for this important intention.
Please consider signing up for one or more days of prayer:

Let us answer this call with generosity, trusting that God can accomplish great things through the faithful prayers of His people.

The Cursillo Movement of the Archdiocese of St. Louis rejoices with great gratitude to God as longtime Cursillista John Hermann is ordained to the Sacred Order of the Permanent Diaconate this Saturday, June 6, 2026. (TOMORROW!)
John has faithfully lived his Fourth Day for many years, witnessing to Christ in his family, parish, workplace, & community. Today, we give thanks for his generous "yes" to God's call and for the many ways he has served the Church through the Cursillo Movement.
As Cursillistas, we know that Christ calls each of us to live our vocation fully in our environments. John's ordination is a beautiful reminder that the Lord continues to call ordinary men & women to extraordinary holiness through Piety, Study, & Action.
Please keep John and all those being ordained in your prayers as they begin this new chapter of service in Liturgy, Word, & Charity.
May the Holy Spirit strengthen them as they continue to make a friend, be a friend, & bring that friend to Christ.

For 16 years, Fr. Jason Schumer has faithfully served Christ & His Church as a priest, bringing countless souls closer to Jesus through the sacraments, preaching, & his dedication to the Cursillo movement.
Many Cursillistas have been blessed by Fr. Schumer & his encouragement & reminder that holiness is found in the ordinary moments of daily life. His love for Christ, the Eucharist, & making disciples inspires us to live our Fourth Day well.
Please join in praying & thanking God for Fr. Schumer's priesthood & praying for many more years of faithful service.
