Today is Giving Tuesday, and we’re inviting you to stand with women and children in East Africa who are working hard to build a stronger future.
Under the Same Tree equips families in Nairobi, Kenya and Kiboga, Uganda with tools that break the cycle of poverty. Microfinance support, youth apprenticeships, and child-focused care help parents grow sustainable income and give their children the chance to thrive.
Your gift today supports this life-changing work.
If you’re looking for a simple way to make a real impact, this is it.
Give today and walk alongside families who are rewriting their stories. Thank you for being part of this community. https://loom.ly/zUPbKkU

Friends, we need your help.
This is Florence and her four children, Joel, Shadia, Sherifa, and Shifra. Florence (who believes she’s around 80 years old but isn’t quite sure) has been raising these children since they were very young. She took them in when they had no one else.
But now, Florence is too old and in poor health to continue farming. Without sponsors for school fees, these children will not be able to return to school next year.
We’re looking for 4 people willing to step up and say yes—one sponsor for each child.
Just $30 a month covers a full year of school and supplies for one child.
Your commitment will keep them learning, dreaming, and moving toward a brighter future.
If you can help, please send us a message or email [email protected]

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Rooted in Hope Gala. Because of you, we officially launched our capital campaign and raised over $6,000 of our goal of $30,000 for Under the Same Tree’s sustainability plan in Kiboga, Uganda.
This project will purchase land to build a school, farm, and community well—creating jobs, educating children, and ensuring food and water security for generations.
If you couldn’t make it but would like to contribute, you can still be part of this story:

📚✨ Today is International Literacy Day! ✨📚
At Under the Same Tree, we believe that education is the key to breaking the cycle of poverty. Yet for too many children, access to school is out of reach.
When you sponsor a child like Mercy, Ryan, or Sherifa, you’re not just covering school fees—you’re opening the door to books, learning, and opportunity. You’re giving a child the tools they need to dream bigger, rise above poverty, and create a brighter future.
Every child deserves the chance to read, write, and learn. Together, we can make that possible. 💛
