Cheese is not what we expected to use this knife for, but it works great. Beta testing on Christmas Eve. Merry Christmas away from the anvil and fire, folks.

These Santoku are flying through production they were annealed last night, and today they will be normalized for hardening and quenching tomorrow. We have also started coding materials and producing handles. Soon these will be in kitchens!

This has been quite a step forward for us, technically, and artistically. This knife is our first successful bit of forge welding. This knife was forged, by hand, by 7 layers of steel. A core of 80CRV2 clad in 15N20, a layer of W2 Tool steel, abs one final layer of 15N20. It has been been upset and drawn out, entirely by hand, and hammered to shape.
It has been annealed, normalized, hardened, and tempered. It is time to finish the grinding, abs also a handle on it.

Finally, this Serbian knife is nearly complete! The main body of the blade has been blackened, and the cutting edge, abs the spine need to be polished before we put an edge on it and give it to its new owner. This is one unconventionally beautiful blade!
