🐘 Happy Father’s Day! 🐘
Today, we’re celebrating all the incredible dads: human and elephant alike! Did you know that while Asian elephant dads don’t always stay with the herd, their presence is vital for the future of these majestic animals? Male elephants play an important role in maintaining the genetic health and strength of populations.
This Father’s Day, honor a special dad in your life by supporting Asian Elephant Support. Your donation helps us protect elephant families, fund vital research, and ensure a brighter future for these gentle giants.

CMU Update 🐘🩺🩹
On April 21, the Chiang Mai University Mobile Vet Clinic (CMU) collected blood from a healthy elephant, creating fresh, frozen plasma that will help save sick elephants in the future! 🐘💉
Carefully selected donor elephants must be healthy, between 20 and 50 years old, weigh over 6,600 lbs, and meet other criteria. Once approved, their blood is collected and processed into plasma, which can be safely stored for up to two years and used in lifesaving transfusions! 🩸
Huge thanks to the CMU team for their expert care and dedication to Thailand’s elephants!
Want to help? Donate today and be part of their incredible mission. 🩺❤️

In December, Asian Elephant Support (AES) sponsored three Thai veterinarians to travel to the US for the 21st International Elephant Conservation and Research Symposium and the Global EEHV Summit 2025. The vets visited top elephant care facilities, learned about advanced elephant health management and EEHV (Elephant Endotheliotropic Herpesvirus) prevention, and explored collaboration opportunities for disease surveillance and vaccine use in Thailand. Key outcomes included sharing research, presenting case studies, and developing an action plan to improve EEHV diagnosis, treatment, and prevention for elephants in Thailand.
AES is proud to help support the collaboration of veterinary experts in the fight against EEHV. Donate today to continue our efforts to support the testing, treatment, and research of EEHV!
