Calling all architects: help bring Dutchtown homes back to life!
We are expanding incremental development across Dutchtown, and we are looking for architects who want to be part of it.
All over the neighborhood, neighbors are taking on vacant, structurally damaged buildings and doing the hard work of returning them to use. It is meaningful work. It is also risky, and most of these sweat equity developers carry that risk on their own. They rarely have the upfront capital to pay full price for architecture and design on top of everything else a rehab demands.
That is where the right partner can make the difference.
We want to connect with large firms or professionals ready to:
π Bring architectural and design expertise to rehab projects led by neighbors
π‘ Help reduce the risk in the earliest and hardest stage of saving a damaged building
π¨ Build a lasting partnership in one of the most diverse and dense neighborhoods in St. Louis
If your firm wants to put its talent toward real neighborhood revitalization, we want to hear from you.
Reach out at [email protected].

Another Dutchtown Main Streets façade grant is brightening the South Side! Our friends at Iowa Buffet fixed the neon lights on the vintage Budweiser sign that's hung above the entrance for decades. They're also getting a new hand-painted mural on the Winnebago side of the building!
We're delighted to help beautify this neighborhood institution. Make sure to stop by for lunch and check out the mural, or come by at night and enjoy the neon glow and an ice-cold beer.
