Gamblers, Brigades, and a Cold Slither: A Conversation with Animation Writer Michael Charles Hill 09/30/2024

Was hoping to post this earlier in the weekend, but I hope you enjoy this episode of the Excelsior Journeys Podcast with my guest, & Michael Charles Hill! It was such a joy getting to share my experiences with the episodes he wrote and hearing about how it was behind the scenes at Sunbow Productions!
And I hope you’re able to make it to the LA Comic Con this weekend so you can meet Michael yourself!

Woke up to the fifth laurel for my short SciFi screenplay “Minus One Plus!” Thank you to the Berlin Int’l Screenwriting Festival!

Very grateful to have writer Michael Charles Hill join me for an in-depth conversation on the Excelsior Journeys Podcast. Michael and I discussed his time on the staff of Sunbow Productions during the 1980s, where he gave us some truly memorable TransFormers and G.I.Joe episodes, including "Starscream's Brigade," "The Gambler," Part 2 of "The Return of Optimus Prime," and one of my personal favorites, "The Burden Hardest to Bear."
This episode will go live on Tuesday September 24, and Michael will be a guest at Joelanta in Duluth, GA that following weekend.

It's days like this that make me so grateful to be in podcasting. Getting to spend my day talking with Nebula-nominated author Jendia Gammon and award-winning composer Misha Segal (The Last Dragon / The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking / 1989's The Phantom of the Opera) is so inspiring and motivating, and I can't wait for you to hear these conversations. And I get to do it all again tomorrow with four other creatives!
