Today’s verdict is an acknowledgment that police cannot get away with murder. That we can hold them accountable.
Human believes in accountability and we celebrate the fact that they got it right this time.
We grieve with the BIPOC community over the many other times the justice system got it wrong.
We hope in better days.
Let’s keep working toward justice for people of color. We’ve got a long way to go.

Given all that threatens our community and our wholeness, it is imperative to reconnect with the heart of humanity. This is the time to see each other as human.
