🔥 Every story starts with a spark.

We recently debuted a new employee art gallery at PGAV centered around a single theme: Storytelling.

Each artist interpreted that spark in their own unique way. The results blew us away. The gallery is a collection of illustrations, lenticulars, cyanotypes, digital art, comic books, 3-D-printed works, and even living installations (don’t worry—they’re just plants). The many mediums represented show how a single ember can ignite something unexpected and unforgettable.

✨ Gather around the campfire. It's time for a story.

PGAV's Voice of the Visitor International: Revenue - PGAV Destinations 05/27/2026

The biggest revenue opportunities for attractions often begin after guests enter the experience. Recent research from PGAV reveals just how significant in-park spending has become:
• 83% of visitors purchase food & beverage
• 80% purchase a souvenir

Admission is a one-time transaction. Food, beverages, and retail create opportunities for engagement throughout the entire guest journey. And when these moments are thoughtfully integrated into the experience itself, they become part of the memory.

The most successful destinations are designing retail and dining as extensions of the story.

PGAV's Voice of the Visitor International: Anticipation to Memory - PGAV Destinations 05/13/2026

The most powerful part of travel isn’t always what guests expect; it’s what stays with them afterward.

Insights from PGAV’s Voice of the Visitor: International reveal a shift between the moments travelers anticipate before a trip and the memories they carry home. For designers, understanding that gap can transform how experiences are imagined, planned, and delivered.

Read this week’s Destinology to explore how anticipation and memory shape attractions and the guest experience.
