In partnership with the Centene Corporation , friends, neighbors and community leaders celebrated 40 years of our stewardship during the 35th annual Hat Luncheon on June 4. Our most eagerly anticipated event and largest annual fundraiser became a record-breaking celebration of our work in Forest Park.

Thanks to generous attendees, incredible sponsors and the thoughtful leadership of event co-chairs Akberet Boykin Farr and Laura Sawyier, we raised more than $665,000 to support our nonprofit conservancy.

Hats off to all our fabulously fashionable guests. ๐ŸŽฉ We took so many pictures. Stay tuned for more!

What kind of bird is this?

Meet fellow bird enthusiasts at the Dennis & Judith Jones Visitor and Education Center for a Beginner Bird Walk in Forest Park at 8am this Saturday, June 6.

Weather permitting, these meetups are short (two hours or less) trips along a paved path or trail. They are designed to help participants encounter as many birds as possible and become familiar with a variety of our more common birds.๐Ÿชฟ

โ€œWe know how important outdoor green spaces are especially at this time, and this destination will be a fantastic new offering for St. Louisans and visitors to the region.โ€ - Greg Hayes, Director of Parks Recreation and Forestry for City of St. Louis Government

Five years ago today, 17 acres of turf grass in Forest Park was transformed into an experiential play space with natural landscapes. The Anne Oโ€™C. Albrecht Nature Playscape opened on June 2, 2021 and it has quickly become one of the most beloved spaces in the best city park.
